Mamdani Pledges Major Increase in Hate Crime Funding Amid Jewish Community Concerns

NEW YORK – In response to growing fears within New York City’s Jewish community about rising antisemitism, Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani has pledged to increase city funding for hate crime prevention by 800 percent. The commitment came during an interview on MSNBC’s The Briefing with Jen Psaki as Mamdani sought to reassure Jewish voters ahead of the upcoming mayoral election.

Mamdani, who secured the Democratic nomination after defeating former Governor Andrew Cuomo, acknowledged the anxiety many Jewish New Yorkers feel in today’s climate. “I know that Jewish New Yorkers, like Jewish Americans, are fearful in this moment of anti-Semitism,” he said. “My message is that I am looking to lead this entire city, to represent each and every New Yorker.”

The pledge to boost hate crime funding aims to “root out” acts of hatred and violence targeting the city’s Jewish population, which has seen an alarming increase in recent years. The announcement also comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Mamdani’s previous statements on Israel, which have sparked debate and concern within segments of the Jewish community.

While Mamdani’s platform as a Democratic Socialist has drawn criticism from some corners, he emphasized that his leadership would focus on unity and safety for all residents. “That representation is not contingent on whether or not someone votes for me or someone agrees with me, because the responsibility of a leader is to reach out to all eight and a half million people who call this city their home,” he said.

Jewish community leaders have expressed cautious optimism about the increased focus on hate crime prevention but continue to monitor Mamdani’s positions on other issues, especially those related to Israel and broader communal security.

As the general election approaches, Mamdani’s promises to address antisemitism and enhance community safety are likely to be a central theme in the campaign, reflecting the urgent concerns of one of the city’s most vulnerable populations.

Saying free Palestine and intifada rhetoric which Mamdani promotes, results in anti-Semitic hate crimes. He is a bluffer.

Don’t worry. All the Jews will take the free money.
We always take the free government money and sell our souls at the same time.
Look who the ‘askunim’ have told us to vote for recently.
Adams (who’s a far left lunatic, and only 1 degree less to the left than this idiot)
De Blasio etc etc
All idiots and proudly hailed by our holy askunim
