Hamas Says It Has Given a ‘Positive’ Response to the Ceasefire Proposal in Gaza

GAZA – Hamas announced Friday that it had responded “in a positive spirit” to a new U.S.-brokered ceasefire proposal aimed at halting the war in Gaza, now entering its 21st month. The group said it is ready to engage in talks to implement the deal, which includes a 60-day truce, the release of hostages, and negotiations toward a permanent resolution.

The proposal, presented as a “final offer” by President Donald Trump, awaits official responses from both sides. Key sticking points remain, including the reopening of the Rafah border crossing and a timeline for Israeli military withdrawal. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s demand for Hamas to disarm could further complicate negotiations.

Trump is scheduled to meet with Netanyahu in Washington on Monday to discuss the deal and broader regional strategy.

May Hashem have mercy on us. Close to 900 soldiers killed in this war and now the Government is willing to withdraw and receive only 10 live hostages. The only reasonable agreement to a ceasefire can be an immediate release of ALL hostages.
