In a post on X (formerly Twitter) at 10 a.m. Friday, Tisch wrote: “ZERO shootings or murders in New York City on July 4th. The last time in recorded history that happened was… never.”
However, just hours later, the NYPD confirmed that a 31-year-old man was shot at 11:46 p.m. on July 4th and later died from his injuries.

According to officials, the victim was dropped off at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn around 1:30 a.m. on July 5th by private means. He was pronounced dead later that morning. After further investigation, detectives determined the shooting took place shortly before midnight on the holiday.
The revision underscores the challenges of real-time crime reporting in a city the size of New York, especially during major holidays. It also highlights the NYPD’s continued efforts to monitor gun violence amid broader efforts to improve public safety.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and no arrests have been announced.

in a city the size of new york, “zero” or “almost zero” is equally amazing. is this the result of better policing or just a statistical anomaly?
Rebbetzin look
She could/should be forgiven for that………………
So the shooting took place 15 minutes before midnight.
