The reward, part of a broader initiative targeting alleged corruption and narco-terrorism in Venezuela, signals a renewed push to hold Maduro accountable for what the U.S. has long described as a criminal regime responsible for widespread human rights abuses and the collapse of Venezuela’s economy.
Maduro, who remains in power despite international sanctions and multiple attempts to oust him, has previously been indicted by the U.S. Department of Justice on charges including drug trafficking and money laundering. The reward aims to generate actionable intelligence from insiders or foreign actors with direct knowledge of Maduro’s operations or location.
In a joint statement, Trump and Bondi said the offer “underscores our unwavering commitment to bringing justice to the people of Venezuela.”
U.S. officials say the reward is part of a broader effort to restore democracy in Venezuela and pressure Maduro’s inner circle.

Man oh Manashewitz, I could really use that money. Anyone want to help me find him? We’ll split the loot.
