Police say 27-year-old Iman Abdul posted an image of Leon M. Goldstein High School for the Sciences on social media, along with a caption calling on her followers to “attack” the school and describing its students as “Zionists.” She also mentioned Birthright, a program that offers trips to Israel for Jewish young adults.

Jewish community advocates condemned the post, warning it was dangerous incitement. The NYPD’s Intelligence Bureau and Commissioner Jessica Tisch were alerted, and Abdul was taken into custody the following day.

She faces charges including making a terroristic threat, aggravated harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the report.

Goldstein High School, located on the Kingsborough Community College campus, is a public school that offers programs related to Israel and hosts Jewish cultural activities.

The Post noted that Abdul previously worked on the 2018 Democratic primary campaigns of Ocasio-Cortez and State Senator Julia Salazar.
