BRUSSELS — A Belgian radiologist who labeled a 9-year-old patient’s medical report “Jewish (Israeli)” and shared antisemitic content online has been suspended pending investigation, the AZ Zeno hospital announced Tuesday. Dr. Qassim Arkawazy’s social media posts included offensive depictions of Hasidic Jews, prompting outrage.

The hospital said the patient record was corrected and emphasized that discrimination has “absolutely no place” in its facilities. Both internal and external investigations are underway. Jewish groups praised the suspension, calling for resolute action against antisemitism in healthcare.
