GAZA — Abdul Rahim Muhammad Hamden, an eight-year-old boy from Gaza, previously reported killed by Israeli forces in May, has been confirmed alive following a rescue operation by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). The boy, known as Abboud, was located with his birth mother after leaving his stepmother’s care in July and safely transported to an undisclosed location.

Abboud had been at the center of a viral story spread by former GHF contractor Tony Aguilar, who claimed the boy, misnamed “Amir,” was shot by the Israel Defense Forces at a GHF aid site on May 28. GHF, Fox News, and The Daily Wire confirmed the account was false. Biometric verification and recent footage show Abboud smiling and unharmed.

GHF praised its team of American veterans and local staff for the successful rescue. Spokesperson Chapin Fay condemned the spread of unverified narratives, noting Aguilar’s story was used by Hamas and others to undermine Israel and humanitarian aid efforts.
Abboud and his mother remain in a secure location for their safety, with GHF continuing its humanitarian operations in Gaza.

Justifiable lie. Reshaim af bechayeihem nikrim meisim.
