LONDON — British police arrested more than 400 demonstrators outside Parliament on Saturday after they gathered to protest the government’s ban on Palestine Action, a group recently designated as a terrorist organization.

Protesters, estimated at 1,500 by organizers, held signs in support of the group and sat in the streets. Police made arrests under the Terrorism Act and for public order offenses as some demonstrators resisted removal.
The protest came amid ongoing debates over the group’s ban and its impact on civil liberties in the U.K.
Why didn’t the police simply place them all in the Dungeons of the Tower of London, and arrange for their extremely well deserved execution over there?
