United Hatzalah said paramedic Shir Chaber and EMTs Avishai Hornstein, David Lifshitz and Avi Yudkowski provided “initial medical treatment” to the injured, one of whom suffered “penetrating injuries to his upper torso.”
“MDA EMTs and paramedics are treating two stabbing victims and evacuating them to the hospital, including a 60-year-old male in serious condition and a 23-year-old male in moderate condition,” the Magen David Adom emergency service said in a statement.
It said the victims were evacuated to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem.
The Israel Police said the assailant, a 42-year-old Arab resident of the Shuafat refugee camp in northeastern Jerusalem who worked at the hotel through a manpower company, was placed under arrest by an off-duty police officer staying at the hotel.
“To minimize the risk to remaining civilians, I subdued the terrorist using only physical force, not gunfire,” the officer said. “With the help of some others, we managed to pin him to the ground and put him in handcuffs.”

The assailant, a dishwasher at the hotel, apparently used a kitchen knife in the attack, a police spokesman said. Three other people were also arrested for suspected involvement in the attack.
Witnesses to the incident said that the stabbing suspect shouted “Allahu Akbar” and that he “wanted to die.” Two men who participated in subduing him said: “We tied him up with belts.”
The Hamas terrorist group on Tuesday claimed responsibility for a shooting the previous day that saw six Israeli civilians killed in northern Jerusalem.
Following Tuesday’s airstrikes in Qatar, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed he had ordered the military a day earlier to prepare for possible targeted killings of Hamas leaders abroad in response to the Jerusalem shooting and a Gaza tank blast that killed four IDF soldiers.
Jerusalem’s statement said the strikes were “entirely justified given that this Hamas leadership initiated and organized the Oct. 7 massacre and has continued to launch murderous actions against the State of Israel and its citizens since then, including claiming responsibility for the killing of our citizens in yesterday’s attack in Jerusalem.”
The IDF announced on Tuesday morning that it had expanded counter-terrorism operations across Judea and Samaria in the wake of Monday’s attack.
