Ambassador Mike Hukabee, who plays bass guitar, and former Ambassador David Friedman, who plays acoustic guitar, will be accompanying Avraham Fried on the convention center stage at the October 11th event, titled United For Life. While the concert will be light-hearted, with comedic touches and multiple surprises, its proceeds are earmarked for more serious matters – funding United Hatzalah’s lifesaving activities.
“We need to buy 5,000 epi-pen sets and 1,000 bulletproof vests for our volunteers,” United Hatzalah founder and CEO Eli Beer told VIN News.

Epi-pens, which typically have a one-year shelf life, cost $135 per set, while bulletproof vests and their accompanying helmets sell for $1,000 each. In addition to its ever-growing number of volunteers, United Hatzalah has been facing an increasing demand for bulletproof items for its members.
“Until recently, Israel’s bigger cities like Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and Bnei Brak weren’t subject to threats, but all that has changed, and we want to have every volunteer protected,” explained Beer.
United Hatzalah has been hosting an annual Chol Hamoed Succos concert since 2001. In addition to Fried, this year’s concert will feature Sasson Shaulov, whose Tamid Ohev Oti has become a worldwide hit, with special guest Zevi K. United for Life will be emceed by Elon Gold, and Beer has invited several released hostages to join the concert, although in his heart of hearts, he is aspiring to an even greater showing.
“I hope that by the time Succos comes, we will have a victory over our enemies and have all of our hostages back,” said Beer.
With memories of October 7th particularly poignant on Succos, Beer is looking to put together an event that will create positive new memories.
“That Simchas Torah was the worst day of my life,” recalled Beer. “We are investing so much thought and creativity into this concert because I want people to have closure. I want people to remember Succos as the best time in Israel.”
