IDF Eliminates Two Senior Hezbollah Terrorists in Southern Lebanon

JERUSALEM (VINnews)-The Israel Defense Forces announced Tuesday that its troops eliminated two senior Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon on Monday.

According to the IDF, Mohammad Abbas Shashoua, who was responsible for Hezbollah’s artillery in the Sohmor area, was killed in an airstrike. Throughout the war, Shashoua directed numerous rocket attacks on Kiryat Shmona and the Golan Heights, and was recently involved in rebuilding Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon and planning attacks against Israeli forces.

Also eliminated was Muhammad Hussein Yassin, a senior operative in Hezbollah’s Shaqif area artillery unit. The IDF said Yassin was responsible for multiple attacks on the Galilee Panhandle and Kiryat Shmona, and played a role in smuggling weapons south of the Litani River in violation of Israel–Lebanon understandings.

“The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel,” the military said in a statement.
