WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews) — The Senate adjourned late Monday night without approving any measure to keep the federal government open, ensuring a shutdown will begin at midnight.

Lawmakers will reconvene at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with three votes scheduled an hour later: two procedural votes on the same short-term funding bills that already failed today, along with a vote on a nominee.
Neither party was able to muster the 60 votes needed earlier in the day. The Republican-backed bill fell 55-45 despite support from three Democrats, while the Democratic proposal — which included Obamacare subsidies — also failed to advance.
As the shutdown takes effect, federal agencies will begin implementing contingency plans. Essential services will continue, but hundreds of thousands of federal employees are expected to be furloughed.

Does this mean that we don’t need to pay taxes?
And it makes no difference to anyones life
Good ,and never rehire them.
So what?? A bunch of pampered, spoiled, lifetime employed federal employees getting a paid vacation. Just like they do when it snows a couple of inches. Oh Boohoo.
