    NEW YORK – United Hatzalah, Israel’s largest fully volunteer emergency medical organization, will be featured in the upcoming Israeli anthology drama One Day in October, set to stream on HBO Max on October 7. The mini-series dramatizes real-life stories of courage, resilience, and survival during the tragic events of October 7 in Israel.

    The episode focused on United Hatzalah follows volunteers Avi Gian, Emanuel Skaat, and Avi “DJ” Yudkowsky, portraying their perilous mission to reach and save victims amid the chaos and devastation. Using a United Hatzalah ambulance, the volunteers risked their lives navigating dangerous conditions to provide urgent medical care.

    Created and directed by Oded Davidoff and Daniel Finkelman, and co-produced by Israel’s YES network and Fox Entertainment, the series brings international attention to the heroism of first responders and the extraordinary challenges they face during national emergencies.

    United Hatzalah President and Founder Eli Beer said, “This series allows viewers around the world to witness the bravery, compassion, and dedication of our volunteers. Their actions during the October 7 attacks exemplify the very best of humanity.”

    With over 8,000 volunteers nationwide, United Hatzalah provides free emergency medical services to anyone in need, regardless of background, with a goal to respond within 90 seconds. During the October 7 attacks alone, more than 1,500 volunteers responded, saving and treating thousands of people affected by the violence.

    Streaming on HBO Max, a platform with tens of millions of subscribers worldwide, ensures that United Hatzalah’s story will reach an international audience, increasing awareness of the critical role volunteer emergency responders play in crisis situations and highlighting their courage on a global stage.

    A documentary about religious Jews responding to a tremendous tragedy unfolding on a Jewish holiday is set to be released on October 7th – a Jewish holiday (even in Israel).
    HBO is completely tone deaf.
