IDF Locates And Destroys Rockets And Explosive Devices Near Ramallah

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In a worrying new development in the PA-controlled region of Binyamin, Border Police from Judea and Samaria and IDF forces from the Binyamin Brigade located and destroyed on Tuesday night rockets and additional weaponry in the Ramallah region.

During a Shin Bet investigation of a terror cell involved in the production of rockets, who were arrested last week in the Ramallah area, information was obtained about rocket manufacturing facilities in the region.

During a targeted operation in the village of Beitunia, located near Ramallah in the Binyamin region, Border Police from Judea and Samaria, IDF forces, and Shin Bet operatives located 15 rockets in various stages of production, 18 explosive devices, firearms, explosives, and other weaponry that had been prepared and stockpiled by the cell.

The explosives and rockets were destroyed on site by Border Police sappers, and some were taken for further investigation.

This is the second time that rockets have been found in the region. Last week the IDF found rockets ready for launching near the town of Modiin Illit, and arrested a cell responsible for placing the launchers.
