Contrary to earlier reports, Rabbi Wein was not hospitalized and was not building a Sukkah at the time of the incident. Officials emphasized that the matter remains under investigation and asked the public to allow law enforcement to continue their work.
Rabbi Shalom Baum of the shul said in a statement, As many of you have heard, Rabbi Wein was assaulted earlier today. He is extremely appreciative of your concern. He was never hospitalized and was not building his Sukkah. No motive has been established and there is an ongoing investigation. The perpetrator is in custody. For legal and privacy reasons, there is no more information to be shared at this time, and while we know that everyone has the best intentions, it is best not to spread social media postings about this event. We look forward to seeing Rabbi Wein in shul.
Authorities confirm that the suspect, who appears to be a mentally disturbed individual, is in custody. No motive has been established, and the investigation is ongoing. For legal and privacy reasons, further details are not being released at this time.
Rabbi Baum thanked the community for its concern and urged caution when sharing information online.

“faith leader”??? Why won’t you say it is a rabbi? Because then you can’t keep up the lie that it is a “random attack”
“random incident”. So it was random that he chose to attack a Jewish man???
Isn’t it odd, that when these attacks against Jews, or Shuls occur, we always hear the same bubba meises that “it was a mentally disturbed individual”. In 2021, at about 7AM, I was in our local Shul shortly after Shacharis started. There was a local city cop guarding the Shul. In spite of that, we all heard a very loud smashing noise to the outside window. It appears that momzer threw a very large projectile twice, as two large windows had cracks, but they did not shatter, because the Shul had the foresight to install windows which would not shatter. The piece of garbage was eventually caught, and we heard the same nonsense that he was mentally disturbed. However, if that was the case, why didn’t he throw a projectile at a church, which was only two blocks away? He deliberately targeted Jews in that Shul. The news media and the cops always like to downplay acts of hatred against Jews.
The suspect is “mentally disturbed“? Why is he issued a drivers license? he is clearly a danger to himself and others. Why is he not institutionalized? “Mentally disturbed“ appears to be the defense Dijour.
Rabbi Baum just shared this message with the Keter Torah Community. Let’s do all we can to respect these instructions.

Mentally disturbed?? It’s a miracle he didn’t use a knife or a gun, which is usually the case. Thank you Hashem.

news outlets need to remind themselves once in a while that they’re in the journalism business, not the rumour business.
FYI
A local young man , about 25 was putting up a Sukkah a few houses away. He heard the wife screaming and tackled the piece of manure attacker. He then zip tied him with his Sukkah equipment and called the police handing him over on the ground, zip tied and with a broken nose.
