Kushner, who helped lead President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace efforts, said he believed Israel had begun acting impulsively and that the U.S. needed to intervene to prevent decisions that could damage its long-term interests.
Steve Witkoff, another Trump associate involved in the negotiations, described learning about the strike with shock. “We woke up to find out what had happened,” he said, noting that it undermined trust among key regional players such as Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.
According to Witkoff, the incident made it harder to communicate with Hamas, since the Qataris had been serving as intermediaries in the talks.
Kushner added that Trump was angered by Israel’s move and believed it disrupted sensitive diplomatic progress. The full conversation will be featured on 60 Minutes Sunday night.
Why hasn’t the U.S. “reigned in” Qatar for financing Hamas terrorists for the past 18 years and for harboring Hamas terrorists in their country for the past 13 years???
Jared, don’t backstab Israel – it has enough haters without you adding fuel to the fire.
So Israel has to “pay” for Trump’s $400M plane from Qatar. Qatar is buying influence at the highest levels of the government.
Dumb ass
His connection with witkoff is intertangled with money.qatar is the biggest group of terrorists that protect hamas.the israelis shoulve killed the head of qatar too.simpleton kirshner is sitting on his can here playing with millions and he is telling Netanyahu how to manage his defense ideas.chamor ben ganav.he is a punk compared to his refined wife.reminds me of the debate between kahane and dershowitz how Kahane ripped alan dershowitz apart.part of his mauling of dershowitz was telling him basically that he is sitting on his fat can without knowing the dynamics that someone that lives with the terrorists are acutely aware of. Bottom line is though one can have millions,he can still be an idiot.
We go after terrorists wherever they are.
Too bad they left their cell phones behind, or else we would have been rid of some monsters
Good to shake them up a bit
Even though we have a state we are still in Golus and we have to act accordingly. We need and have to respect the nations that help us. There are things we can do, and things we shouldn’t do. Attacking Qatar, even though they are bad and deserved it, was something that should not have been done.
