NEW YORK – With early voting already underway and just 10 days left until Election Day, VIN News met on Zoom with Independent mayoral candidate and former governor Andrew Cuomo, to discuss his future plans for New York City, while also addressing his long history with the Jewish community.

Speaking during the 20 minute interview from Flushing, Queens, Cuomo walked the narrow line of defending his COVID decisions, while admitting that he dropped the ball in communicating with the Orthodox Jewish community when certain restrictions were enacted. The former governor said that he hoped that the Jewish community would remember his decades-long history of friendship and support when they head to the polls to cast their mayoral ballots.

The interview also touched on bail reform, and Cuomo’s plans to fight crime by increasing the NYPD’s presence in the city. Cuomo noted that he was pleasantly surprised to learn that former assemblyman Dov Hikind, who had previously backed Curtis Sliwa, had flip-flopped on his endorsement, urging New Yorkers to vote for him instead.

“I respect what Dov Hikind says, because it’s true – a vote for Curtis Sliwa is a vote for Mamdani,” noted Cuomo, describing Sliwa as “a spoiler in the race.”

His gathering limit was 10 people, not 50. What a stincken liar. If he Mandami wasn’t running no sane Jew would ever vote for him. Listening him political BS his way through this interview is painful. He falsely claims he not target any specific community: vinnews.com/2024/10/31/exposed-democrats-targeted-yeshivas-with-inspections-during-covid-lockdowns

“…while admitting that he dropped the ball in communicating with the Orthodox Jewish community when certain restrictions were enacted.” No, that’s not the only thing that happened. He red-zoned Orthodox neighborhoods (and their expletive tree-houses, in his words) despite their COVID numbers being clearly lower than neighboring non-Jewish neighborhoods.

Cuomo’s ONLY 2 merits: He polls ahead of Sliwa & he’s not Mandami. THE END.

If Cuomo hadn’t run in the first place, then a different candidate (e.g. Adrienne Adams, Brad Lander, Scott Stringer) would have quite likely beaten Mamdani out in the primary. If one of them had Cuomo’s media advantage, unencumbered by being nearly universally disliked as he is, they would almost certainly have won. Cuomo’s hostile takeover is the reason Mamdani is a threat to begin with.

No question at all about his 2020-21 mass manslaughter by force-infecting Nursing Homes or hospitals neglecting patients to die. I understand that’s not a specifically Frum/Jewish issue, but the 7 Nohaide laws we just read about also apply to us.

Do not vote for this sexual pervert. If he is elected, he will repeat the same conduct, and there will be lawsuits. The average taxpayer will have to bear the brunt of any settlements, since someone such as him, can’t control themselves.

With Halloween approaching and food stamps stopping, this city and others are probably going to be in too much turmoil to even have elections.

My Dad, “the rabbi”, was close friend of your Dad from way back then. Dad was also your Dad’s Asst Commissioner of Human Rights, Asst Commissioner Housing Urban Renewal. I still have those blue green cards from when your Dad was running for Lieutenant Gov. with Howie Samuels. Still saved the thank you card you wrote for the condolences my Dad gave you on your Dad’s passing. A photo of all of you together is hanging on a wall in the hallway of my house.
