The NYPD arrested the driver at the scene, who was reportedly driving with a suspended license.
The victim has been identified as Reb Noach Klein A”h, 84, a longtime pillar of the Borough Park community. He operated Unique Sterling for nearly five decades, first opening on 13th Avenue in 1975 before moving to 18th Avenue. Known for his knowledge of antique silver and dedication to his craft, Reb Noach was also celebrated for his warmth, humor, and mentorship to younger generations.

Mr. Klein, a”h. Boruch Dayan HaEmes. I knew him from when he sold silver from the basement of his house 40+ years ago. A very nice sweet man.
Oy r”l,
We lost a very special man,
Business was secondary,
Making people happy was first,
What he did out of the public eye can fill a book
BDH”E. A Tzaddik of a human being, humble, honest beyond imagination in his business dealings, Ba’al middos – a Gaon mameshl. What a heartbreak and loss to his special Family, and Klal Yisroel!

We Moshiach like never before בכלל ובפרט
My neighbor for many years. A very good person.
What a huge loss to Klael Yisroel, He was Satmar Rebbe ZT”l Mishmash during the time he wrote the Vyoel Moshe, this gave him a very unique inside view 24 hours a day of how much this Zadik weighed every word he wrote eating and sleeping very little in the process and the Torah correspondence Satmar Rebbe ZT”L had with every Godel especially Reb Moshe Feinstein ZT”L where Reb Efraim Greenblatt ZT”L was Reb Moshe ZT”L Schlaich to Satmar Rebbe ZT”L as he said in an interview to VIN that Satmar has the biggest bikes Hatorah in our Generation and also wrote in a Teshuva to Kisvi Yoel and told Rabbi Reisman Shalita and many others, A little Nechama is that he has been documenting in the last couple of years his knowledge
He used to regularly travel to Yemen to help Teimani Jews. He also arranged for their children to come to the US so that they can study in yeshivas and Bais Yaakovs.

I was a customer. I shopped there because I enjoyed talking to him. He was such a wonderful, gentle person, with such a sweet sense of humor. I feel terrible.
Anyone have Shiva information?
