Meiner, an attorney-turned-public servant first elected in 2023, ran on his record of reducing crime, addressing homelessness, and attracting new business investments to the city.
Rosen Gonzalez, a lifelong Miami Beach resident and college professor, acknowledged overall crime reductions but noted some violent offenses are rising. She emphasized the need for leadership focused on the economy, water quality, public safety, and transit.
Meiner thanked voters for their support and pledged to continue prioritizing public safety, economic growth, and quality-of-life initiatives in his second term. The narrow margin highlights a divided electorate in Miami Beach, where issues such as crime and development remain key concerns.
