NEW JERSEY — President Donald Trump again highlighted the Lakewood Jewish community on Tuesday, calling on Kollel and Yeshiva students who had not yet voted to head to the polls and back Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump noted that thousands in the community had already turned out and stressed the importance of participation in the tightly contested New Jersey race. He reiterated that every vote matters and reminded those in line at closing time that they must be allowed to cast their ballots.
Trump’s message underscores his continued effort to mobilize conservative voters in key communities, particularly among Orthodox Jews in Lakewood and Jackson, as the state heads toward election results.

Anyone else hear that story? It was long before then Mr. Trump ran for any office. His car got stuck on the highway. Cars drove by without helping. The only person to stop and help was a kollel yungerman. Trump thanked him and asked if he can pay him for the help. The yungerman refused. Trump was sort of uncomfortable that this person who doesn’t watch TV (Apprentice etc.) never heard of Donald Trump. Knowing that kollel men are typically devoted husbands, Trump then asked “Can I at least send some flowers for your wife”. The yungerman said “OK” and Mr. Trump wrote down the address. A few days later a pickup truck arrived full of flowers. And soon after that the yungerman was notified by his bank that his home mortgage was paid up.
