HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro disclosed Wednesday night in an interview with Jan Paski that he held a “very long and an honest” phone conversation with newly‑elected New York City Mayor‑elect Zohran Mamdani following earlier public criticism.

Shapiro said he told Mamdani “how some of his words landed on me,” and described the exchange as “productive and honest.” The call comes after Shapiro publicly rebuked Mamdani in July over remarks that Shapiro said gave “too much space” to supporters whose language he deemed “blatantly antisemitic.”
The dialogue signals an effort by the two politicians to bridge differences and engage in personal diplomacy even amid broader tensions within the Democratic Party over messaging on antisemitism and inter‑community issues.
Shapiro did not offer additional details about the conversation or any specific follow‑ups, but emphasized that the willingness to engage constructively is a positive step. Mamdani’s team did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

You can’t believe a word that Mamdani utters. Being a Muslim, lying to someone who is not a fellow Muslim is not a problem.
“Honest” discussion. What does any politician know about “honest?” Lies, lies, and more lies.
There is no compromise with Hitler.
Running for prez, Josh ?
Shapiro is a good and ethical man…a needed antidote to the evil emanating from the White House (or what’s left of it)
