AUSTRALIA – Police in Sydney are facing backlash for allowing a neo-Nazi protest to go ahead outside the New South Wales Parliament, where participants carried banners attacking the so-called “Jewish lobby.”

Roughly 60 demonstrators from a fringe group known as White Australia gathered for about 20 minutes after formally notifying authorities, who did not block the event. Law enforcement officials now say the decision is under review, citing an internal communication lapse.
NSW Premier Chris Minns denounced the gathering as “a vile display of antisemitism,” while opposition leader Mark Speakman said it was “an act of intimidation, not free speech.”
Jewish community leaders expressed outrage, warning that conspiracy theories about Jewish influence are spreading. David Ossip, head of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, said hate “must never be given a platform outside the heart of our democracy.”
