MILAN — An Orthodox Jewish man was violently attacked Monday at Milan’s Central Station by a 25-year-old Pakistani man, whose arrest has now been validated by a fast-track judge. The judge described the assault as “serious and brutal” and noted the defendant’s “lack of repentance.”

According to police, the suspect punched and kicked the victim while shouting anti-Semitic threats, including “You s**t Jews, you kill children in Palestine, and I’ll kill you.” The attacker also reportedly shouted “Allah Akbar!” after being detained and handed over a ring taken from the victim.
The suspect, who admitted both the assault and the verbal abuse in court, is charged with aggravated assault motivated by racial, ethnic, and religious hatred. Prosecutors emphasized the risk of repeat offenses, noting that he had also randomly attacked other passersby at the station.
Defense counsel requested a less severe measure due to the suspect’s clean record, but the judge rejected it. The trial is scheduled for December 4, with the suspect facing up to six years in prison.
