WILLIAMSBURGH – On Wednesday, the United Jewish Organizations (UJO) of Williamsburg and North Brooklyn posted a video following a Crain’s New York Q&A with Dan, which discussed property taxes in the borough.

The UJO highlighted their years-long effort for fairer taxation of non-luxury condos and praised Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s understanding of the issue. Dean Fuleihan, Mamdani’s incoming first deputy mayor, emphasized that the mayor-elect is serious about property tax reform.

“This is a problem that is growing and it can’t continue to be ignored,” Fuleihan said.

For many in Williamsburg, particularly within the Hasidic community, rising property taxes have long been a far cry from the affordability that sustained the neighborhood for generations. The issue has fueled concerns among homeowners and renters alike, who have faced steadily increasing assessments on small, non-luxury condos.

The UJO expressed hope that meaningful reform for working- and middle-class condos in Williamsburg and North Brooklyn may finally be addressed under Mamdani’s incoming administration.

Prior to the war, Saba Zabotinsky warned Jews (including from this sect) about the dangers of not coming to E.Y.
I pray that they will do Teshuva and come ברחמים to the Holy Land

It was said in the past that R”l the Jews taught the Nazis how to treat the Jews.
And it’s happening again. Satmar and Neturei Karta are showing him the way; they only care for their own. But in the end to the Nazi/ Jew Haters all Jews will chas v’Sholom suffer.

Which Satmar Posek allows taking photos and videos on Chol Hamoed? And during the week when not Yom Tov, video recording (phonesor cameras) and posting to internet are allowed???? This video is surely NOT according to Satmar Shitta. Don’t say it’s Satmar when it’s only some individuals acting on their own.
