JERUSALEM – In a scene that is capturing widespread attention across Israeli social media, a brief nine-second video has ignited powerful emotion and debate. The clip shows Ba’ash Indursky, a young woman from the Belz Hasidic community, stepping forward to enlist in the Israel Border Police — with her traditionally observant father, Shlomo Indursky, at her side.

Indursky, a senior administrative director at the Belz headquarters in Jerusalem, is seen wrapping his daughter in a long, heartfelt embrace before she enters the enlistment base. Family members surround the pair, offering support in what has become an unusually public moment of unity from a sector where military enlistment, especially for women, remains exceedingly rare.
The video, published by media figure Yossi Reiner, has sparked a wave of reactions online. Many viewers praised the father’s unwavering love and the daughter’s determination; others highlighted the cultural significance of a Hasidic woman enlisting with her family’s full support.
In just seconds, the clip captures a striking intersection of faith, family, and national service — a moment that continues to echo across the public conversation in Israel.

Why should this be controversial? It’s a private matter between a father and daughter. Why it was recorded and why it went viral is beyond me.
Just maybe we should look at the situation and say ” kiruv starts at home” Show love to your children no matter what choices they make. THEN maybe they will return. Show them disgust on their choices and lose them forever.
Smart dad. The right thing to do. G-D bless.
This is very empowering for the many, many of us parents whose children are not as frum as us or are not frum at all. This man loves his daughter and isnt ashamed .
B”H Reb Shlomo is an erlich Belz chasid respected by all of us who know him. May we all merit to have the Ahavah HaShem of Reb Shlomo & the true Ahavah shown to his daughter. May HaShem protect her.
One smart man. He will have iyH much nachas from her
Kol Hakovod
Obviously there is more to the story than what the photo shows.
EVERYONE should be dan lkav zechus and all children should have a loving relationship with their parents..
I’d be doing the same while crying inside. If girl’s not frum, the blanket IDF petur doesn’t apply, but the biblical prohibition of “Lo yihiye kli gever al isha” applies.
Next time you scream “shiksa” at a hafgana/protest, remember that’s still a precious Neshama, someone’s daughter ..and your sister.
Shlomeh! Di zechis zul eich beishtein! Bashy zul eich nur bregen naches!
I don’t know why people are obsessed with recording and publicizing their private interactions. What happened to “Hatzneah Leches”?
The stupidest article and Commons I’ve ever seen, this has nothing to do with joining the IDF, anyone that’s against joining the IDF is cuz it will cause those joining to become less frum or leave yoddishkiet all together, there is no one objecting to someone that already left and is not frum to join the army, so the same scene could have been without any army involvement at all, the father hugging and kissing his otd daughter.
Now why would a father kissing his otd daughter be in the news? The reason is only the gas light a certain group of people and to trigger them to respond negative and then to bombard them that their haters.
I look forward to the day that she stops a terrorist attack.
I know the intent of the article is to make a certain group look bad that doesn’t support service, but that shouldn’t be the point here. Just enjoy the nice scene for what it is
Vin go home in the back of the garbage truck.
Attractive meideli.Ugly girls do not serve.
What did the Belzer Rebbe say when the father asked him what to do when his daughter enlisted? Or didn’t he ask? If he didn’t ask, he is not a Belzer Chossid.
this is what happens when you join the government, you end up not having a problem sending girls to the army, on what the cazon eish z”l said, its יהרג ועל יעבור. Now we see again how right satmer rabbi was shame on you!!!!!!!!!
Here’s the point that everyone seems to be missing. Some people live with and prioritize a consciousness of the Divine. Others prioritize their material existence. That’s what every single situation boils down to. Every question, every choice, every judgement, every action taken. Its always a choice between these fundamental directions.
do not be satmar and criticise
Heart breaking. Seems like she couldn’t wait to get away from her loving father. Sad, really sad.
why didnt she join the yehudah Brigade for frum people
No one cares about a random father daughter , why is it such a big deal.
Did he ask the Ruv what to do? What did he say?
