JERUSALEM (VINnews) — President Isaac Herzog is inclined to accept Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s request for a pardon without requiring him to admit guilt or commit to retiring from political life, according to a report on Sunday by Channel 14’s political correspondent, Tamir Morag.

However, Morag noted that it is quite possible that Herzog will ask Netanyahu to introduce changes to the wording of the request—changes that would not amount to an admission of guilt, but would nevertheless relate to the charges made against him.
Morag added that the process may take a long time: “The assessment is that the procedural timetable until President Herzog’s final decision will take many weeks, and likely not less than two months.”
He emphasized that although the Basic Law: The President of the State clearly states that the courts have no authority to intervene in the president’s discretion, the expectation is that, as with almost every issue in Israel, the matter will ultimately end up being decided by the High Court of Justice.
Regarding Netanyahu’s pardon request, “those close to Herzog refused to comment yesterday,” the correspondent noted, adding that this is likely “in order not to provide legal ammunition to those seeking to thwart the initiative.”
“as with almost every issue in Israel, the matter will ultimately end up being decided by the High Court of Justice.”
And this sums up what is wrong with the state of Israel. Zero checks and balances for the “Supreme Court”. They are not elected nor appointed by anyone that was elected. They are completely removed from the people.
The left-wing so-called supreme court doesn’t care about the real Basic Law, the Torah Hakedosha, nor does it care about the civil basic law. It only cares about making the land of Israel into a secular left-wing hellhole.
President Trump put the phone call in to president Herzog. All’s good. The left yms did to Netanyahu what they did to Trump.
Herzog is an leftist idiot
