In the first incident in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza, two operatives crossed the designated “Yellow Line” — the boundary marking the IDF’s operational withdrawal zone — and were spotted by soldiers of the Kfir Brigade. According to the military, the pair advanced toward the troops in a way that posed an imminent danger. The soldiers directed a drone strike that eliminated both terrorists.
Separately, in northern Gaza, reservists from the Carmeli Brigade identified a third operative who crossed the security line and approached Israeli forces. Ground troops provided real-time intelligence to the Israeli Air Force, which carried out a precision strike that killed the terrorist, the IDF said.
No Israeli casualties were reported in either engagement.
The incidents occurred as IDF ground forces continue limited counter-terrorism operations inside the Gaza Strip following the collapse of the most recent ceasefire.
