WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews) — Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed Tuesday that the United States obliterated a key Iranian nuclear facility in a swift 24-hour air operation that required no ground forces and did not escalate into broader conflict.

Speaking to Sean Hannity on Fox News, Rubio described the mission as a tightly focused strike designed solely to eliminate Iran’s nuclear weapons capability.
“Iran had these nuclear facilities. We’ve known what they were for a long time,” Rubio said. “The president conducted a precise campaign. It wasn’t a prolonged war; it was a 24-hour operation.”
According to Rubio, B-2 Spirit stealth bombers departed from bases on the U.S. mainland, flew to the designated target in Iran, and delivered 14 bunker-busting munitions directly into the hardened underground site before returning home.
“They came over a defined target, dropped payload — 14 bunker-busting missiles right into the holes of the site — turned around and went home. That’s it,” he said. “It didn’t involve five days of fighting or ground troops.”
Rubio stressed that the operation’s narrow objective was to “destroy the nuclear facility, obliterate it, and move on,” signaling that the United States has no intention of pursuing regime change or prolonged military engagement in Iran.
He forgot to mention that Israel did the heavy work by taking out Iranian air defenses

There is so much wrong with this. Notice he didn’t say WHEN this happened? Was it yesterday? Was it a year ago? Also, b2 bombers are just that: bombers. They drop bombs. They don’t drop “missiles or rockets” which are LAUNCHED from a location on the ground. So if he doesn’t understand basic weaponry, do I trust his reporting as a govt official? Quite simply, no.
