WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews) — U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz will travel to Israel and Jordan from December 6–10 to advance President Donald Trump’s 20-Point Plan for Gaza and promote regional stability, his office announced Thursday.

According to a statement, Waltz will emphasize U.S. commitment to implementing the Trump administration’s Gaza initiative and supporting United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803, which the statement described as establishing “the way forward for the region.”

In Israel, the ambassador is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog to discuss U.S.-Israel cooperation at the United Nations, shared regional-security priorities, and humanitarian aid efforts.
Waltz will also visit the Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza and the Coordination and Monitoring Mechanism for Gaza in Kiryat Gat.
In Jordan, Waltz will hold talks with King Abdullah II and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. The U.S. statement highlighted Jordan’s “critical role in facilitating humanitarian aid to Gaza.”
The ambassador also plans to meet with humanitarian organizations to assess efforts to deliver aid to those in need.
