JERUSALEM (VINnews) — The National Security Committee, which is chaired by MK Tzvika Fogel, will convene on Monday morning to discuss a dramatic report by the Knesset Research and Information Center, which has been surveying the execution methods used in the United States.

According to a report by i24 News, the document details the physical and operational implications of each method, from lethal injection, which “causes significant physical suffering,” to nitrogen hypoxia, the electric chair which results in “immediate cardiac arrest,” and firing squads in which “death is expected to occur quickly.”

The report was prepared ahead of the committee’s discussion on the death penalty bill for terrorists, proposed by MK Limor Son Har-Melech of the Otzma Yehudit party, which passed its first reading in the Knesset plenum about a month ago.

Thirty-nine Knesset members voted in favor of the bill, and sixteen voted against it. The proposal now returns to the National Security Committee for further deliberation on Monday morning.

Attached to the bill are parallel proposals by MK Nissim Vaturi and MK Oded Forer along with a group of other Knesset members. The proposals stipulate that a terrorist who murders an Israeli citizen out of motives of racism or hostility toward the public, with the intention of harming the State of Israel and the rebirth of the Jewish people in their homeland, shall be sentenced to death — and to that penalty alone.

The method of execution must be such that the executed terrorist will not be viewed as a martyr or role model by the hamas youth.

I totally agree. The death penalty should be passed into law. Death by stoning would definetly be apropos, in lieu of that public hanging. or as anacceptable alternative crucifiction. any other methods are way too humane. Oh, I forgot death by immolation would definetly be acceptable.
