JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Israeli security forces arrested six suspected smugglers following a dramatic pursuit along the Egyptian border, the IDF announced.

Troops from the 80th Division, operating under surveillance camera monitoring, first identified the smuggling cell attempting to cross into Israeli territory. The suspects fled when approached, triggering a coordinated chase involving ground forces, an Israeli Air Force aircraft, Shin Bet security service personnel, and Israel Police.
The operation concluded with the capture of all six individuals, their vehicle, and approximately 21 kilograms of illegal drugs, the military said. The type of narcotic was not specified.
The suspects were transferred to police custody for interrogation.
No injuries to Israeli forces were reported during the incident.
