NEW YORK — The New York Post editorial board — normally one of Donald Trump’s most reliable boosters — published a sharply critical editorial Monday, warning that the president risks appearing “out of touch” as Americans continue to feel economic strain.

The board said Trump’s recent dismissal of Democratic messaging on “affordability” as a “con job” could be interpreted by voters as indifference to real financial pressure, even as the White House prepares a speech in Pennsylvania focused on household costs.
Citing a Fox News poll showing three-quarters of Americans view the economy negatively, the Post said frustration over stubborn prices and slow wage gains remains widespread. It noted that nearly half of respondents believe Trump’s policies have hurt the economy, despite signs of improvement such as easing gas prices and GDP growth near 3%.
The editorial also pointed to rising car prices — partly influenced by tariffs — and warned that voters “don’t take well to being told they’re just wrong” about their lived economic reality.
While reaffirming that Trump inherited serious challenges, the Post said the president must confront the public’s concerns directly and shift more attention from foreign policy to day-to-day economic issues ahead of next year’s midterms.

Trump: Fake news!
Very true. Time to wake up. Tarrifs and ICE are bad for Americans. And by the way so are mimumim wage and food stamps causes for higher prices. But lets focus on the poor Trump policies. I love the man for all he has done for Israel but that doesn’t mean all is good
