Cardone, a Miami-based investor and founder of Cardone Capital, shared the account on social media. He identified the former hostage as Alon Ohel, an Israeli-Serbian pianist abducted from the Nova music festival during Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023 attack on Israel.
According to Cardone’s account, Ohel was held in Gaza for 738 days under harsh conditions, including being shackled, deprived of adequate food and medical care, and suffering untreated injuries. Cardone said Ohel asked his captors for books and was given The 10X Rule, which he read during captivity.
“Hearing his story and how he read the book while being held puts resilience, perspective and gratitude into a whole new light,” Cardone wrote.
Cardone said the two later lit Hanukkah candles together to mark Ohel’s release, which took place in October 2025 as part of a hostage deal. He described Ohel’s survival as a “living miracle.”
Cardone is a prominent figure in the real estate and personal finance world, known for his investment empire, motivational speaking and large social media following.

Good maybe he’ll give him a job or give. TZEDAKA for KLAL YISROEL. He certainly can’t afford it and then some oh my goodness if he’s a billionaire, do you know how many people he could help there?
