HICKSVILLE, N.Y. — A lottery ticket sold on Long Island has won the $13.9 million New York Lotto jackpot in Wednesday’s New York Lottery drawing, state officials said.

The winning ticket, which matched all six numbers, was sold at Lovely Cards and Gifts, located at 416 S. Oyster Bay Rd., Hicksville, NY 11801, according to the New York Lottery. The prize carries a guaranteed minimum cash value of about $7 million before taxes.
In addition to the jackpot win, $1 million Powerball tickets were also sold on Long Island in recent drawings, including at locations in Lindenhurst and Valley Stream.
Lottery officials reminded winners to sign the back of their tickets and seek professional financial advice before claiming large prizes.
