Israel’s ambassador to the U.N., Danny Danon, said Israel would participate fully in the session and engage openly in the diplomatic debate surrounding the move. In a statement posted on social media, Danon said Israel would continue to act responsibly and with discretion while seeking cooperation with partners it views as contributing to regional stability.

Israel last week became the first United Nations member state to formally recognize Somaliland, a territory that broke away from Somalia in 1991 and has operated independently for more than three decades without international recognition.

The decision has drawn criticism from a number of countries in Africa and the Middle East, including Turkey and Pakistan, as well as from the African Union and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which say the move violates Somalia’s sovereignty and international law.

Diplomats said the Security Council meeting is expected to focus on the broader implications of Israel’s recognition for regional stability in the Horn of Africa and long-standing international norms regarding territorial integrity.

Almost no one ever heard of that breakway country, so Bibi put it on the map with a cellphone call.
Smart move on so many levels. Militarely right across from Yemen & Houtis. He also got the world to criticize an independent state’s quest for recognition making many leaders look hypocritically foolish.

The reaction to Bibi’s move shows the hypocrisy of the left and the World. Apparently, only muslims living on Jewish land are worthy of their own state.

The Kurds in Turkey have their own language, culture, and religion. However, they are not allowed to have their own state.

THERE ALREADY IS A TWO-STATE SOLUTION:

    ISRAEL AND JORDAN!
