NEW YORK (VINnews) — Miqueas Martinez Secchi, a resident physician specializing in intensive care at José de San Martín Hospital in La Plata, in Argentina’s Buenos Aires Province, was suspended from his position this week after posting antisemitic messages on social media that included calls to murder Jews.

In a post he shared, the doctor wrote that “instead of performing circumcision, their carotid artery and main artery should be cut from side to side.” The messages were uncovered after journalist and commentator Dani Lerer exposed them on the X platform, sparking widespread outrage.

Following the dissemination of the hate messages, Buenos Aires Province Health Minister Nicolás Kreplak issued a statement on social media. “Any aggressive message or one that shows a lack of respect for human life is incompatible with medical practice, and especially with medicine,” he said. “These are fundamental values in the training of health professionals.”

Kreplak further emphasized that “health is one of society’s essential assets” and stressed the need for a firm stance against all forms of discrimination. “It is vital to be unequivocal against any acts of discrimination and racism. Messages containing antisemitic content were spread on social media. The same condemnation applies to any instance of racism against Indigenous communities, Muslim communities, or any ethnic origin or religious identity,” he declared.

The minister noted that the resident physician “has been suspended and is currently under administrative and legal investigation.” He added that the case will be reviewed by a professional committee, which will determine whether the doctor should be allowed to renew his medical license. The decision, he said, is also based on “other prior incidents that have now come to public attention.”

This POS is a disgrace to the profession. His license should be REVOKED & his DEGREE RECINDED and he should be prevented from practicing medicine WORLDWIDE. I would not be so kind as to sever his carotids for a quick demise. Start an IV and allow him to exsanquinate and suffer a slow & painfull death.

If one looks at the history of Argentina, going back to the end of World War Two, it welcomed thousands of Nazi war criminals, including Adolph Eichmann. Also, Josef Mengele, resided there for a while. After Eichmann was captured by the Israelis, and after he was executed, there was massive retaliation against the Jews in Argentina, by anti-semitic thugs. Also, there were bombings of the Israeli Embassy, and a Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires, in the 1990’s, resulting in many deaths. However, I read that the Mossad tracked down every single one of those responsible for the bombing of the Israeli Embassy, and took care of them. In addition, there was a time not that long ago, in Argentina, when protestors would be kidnapped by the government, and never heard from again. Many of the victims were Jews. The point that I’m trying to make, is that this so-called Doctor, did not operate in a vacuum, as the negative atmosphere against Jews in Argentina, has gone back many decades.

The irony is that with a name like Martinez he may have Jewish ancestry.
