WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews)— A U.S. Secret Service agent assigned to Vice President JD Vance’s protective detail has been placed on administrative leave following an undercover investigation by O’Keefe Media Group that allegedly captured him sharing sensitive security details and expressing opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.

The agent, identified as Tomas Escotto, a five-year Secret Service veteran described as a holdover from the Biden administration, was recorded in interactions with an undercover journalist he met on the dating app Tinder in October 2025, according to a report published Tuesday by O’Keefe Media Group.

In the released footage, Escotto reportedly disclosed information about protective formations, shift schedules, travel plans — including some details shared days in advance — and real-time locations related to Vance. He also allegedly sent photographs taken during duty from protected environments, some containing embedded location data.

Escotto expressed personal views critical of ICE and the Trump administration’s immigration policies, stating, “I hate that [ICE] sh*t,” and indicated he voted for President Joe Biden, per the report. He described aspects of his assignment, including watching Vance’s children, as “babysitting.”

O’Keefe Media Group said it consulted with the U.S. Secret Service prior to publication and redacted sensitive operational details at the agency’s request to avoid compromising security. The group highlighted the incident as exposing potential vulnerabilities in protective practices.

The Secret Service responded by placing Escotto on administrative leave, suspending his security clearance, and revoking his access to agency facilities and systems. Deputy Director Matthew Quinn told O’Keefe Media Group: “The U.S. Secret Service has no tolerance for any behavior that could potentially compromise the safety, privacy or trust of our protectees. This incident is under investigation.”

Quinn added that the agency issued an order for all personnel to retake required anti-espionage training.

The Secret Service could not confirm whether Escotto’s actions violated specific criminal laws but described them as potential violations of the agency’s code of conduct.

The report comes amid heightened scrutiny of federal protective services following recent security incidents. O’Keefe Media Group emphasized that the goal of the publication was to identify risks and strengthen safeguards for the vice president, his family, and national security.

No criminal charges have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing. The Secret Service declined further comment beyond the statement provided to O’Keefe Media Group.

It’ll take some time to squash Obama/Biden’s ubiquitous tentacles all over our government. It’s hard enough to battle their appointed dictators in robes who war against America.

Instead of termination, this crud should be given a choice! Resign or take a transfer to Customs Border Protection and send him to Minnesota to apprehend illegal aliens!! And give him a quota to meet!
