The identity of the rabbi was not immediately available.
Queens Shomrim said it received a report of the assault around 2:30 p.m. and that its volunteers responded immediately.
After the suspect fled the scene, volunteers located him at a nearby train station and notified police.
The NYPD arrested the suspect, and charges are pending. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani condemned the attack, calling it an act of hate and emphasizing that such incidents will not be tolerated in the city.
I’m horrified by the antisemitic assault on a rabbi in Forest Hills. Why hide his face could it be that he’s of the religion of peace
as Curtis used to say, “it certainly wasn’t a love crime”.
Thanks SHOMRIM great job
while I can understand not yet ID’ing the victim, could you at least let us know where this attack took place?
Zohran Mamdani is directly responsible for this attack and others as he is known for spreading anti semitisem propaganda such as globalize the intefada
Why blur his face? We all know he is…Amish.
no room for Islamophobia or antisemitism
Yeah Mamdani is so shocked. Maybe the Rabbi was a Zionist so it’s ok by him
has moshe davis from the office of anti Semitism been dispatched?
