MINNEAPOLIS — A senior U.S. Former Border Patrol official reportedly mocked the Jewish faith and Shabbat observance of Minnesota’s top federal prosecutor during a January call with Justice Department lawyers, The New York Times reported Saturday.

The comments were attributed to Gregory Bovino, a Border Patrol field leader and prominent figure in Trump-era immigration enforcement, who allegedly used the phrase “chosen people” derisively and questioned whether U.S. Attorney Daniel N. Rosen, an Orthodox Jew, understood that “Orthodox Jewish criminals don’t take weekends off,” according to people familiar with the call cited by the Times. Lawyers on the call were reportedly unsettled.

The remarks came as Bovino pressed the Minnesota U.S. attorney’s office for a more aggressive approach on immigration-related criminal charges. Rosen’s office declined to comment, and the Department of Homeland Security did not immediately respond. Bovino was reassigned from his high-profile Minneapolis role earlier this month amid broader scrutiny of federal immigration operations.

” “Jewish history tells us that Jews fare poorly in societies that turn polarized, and where that polarization evolves into factional hatreds in the non-Jewish societies within which we live,” Rosen said after being confirmed in October. “Those factional hatreds virtually always evolve into violent expressions of hate against the Jews.”

At the time Rosen said his broader concern about antisemitism was one of his central motivators for taking on the role. He added that he studies Talmud daily and that he became Shabbat-observant 20 years ago. ”

NYT is suddenly worried about Jewish religious rights and protecting Sabbath observance when they can use it as a cudgel against a foe from the Trump administration. How interesting, how convenient.

To Trumpists, anything is excusable. If a Trump appointee were to say that Jews should go to concentration camps, you would probably it’s a good thing in order to protect Jews or other inane excuse.

Bovino photographed giving the adolf salute. Also wearing a black leather full length SS coat. Typical ICE mentality.

Every single non jew is an anti semite. only some can suppress it publicly better than others. if you don’t believe it then you don’t believe in chazal, which, unfortunately, in itself, is quite believable.
Most jews are argumentative and confrontational, as witnessed by history and right here in this thread.
Only some can suppress it better publicly.
And it took as little as a self-hating jewish rag to bring it out.
And many fools her fell for it.

Do we not agree with his words, that we are the “chosen people” and that “Orthodox Jewish criminals don’t take weekends off” (Sunday is part of the weekend)?! What did he say wrong?!
