NEW YORK (VINnews) — The CEO of a drone manufacturing company that supplies surveillance equipment to the Israeli military said New York City Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani pressured the Brooklyn Navy Yard to terminate his firm’s lease due to the mayor’s pro-Palestinian views.

The NY Post reports that, Shahar Abuhazira, head of Easy Aerial, said he was told in private conversations that “pressure” from the mayor’s office influenced the decision not to renew the company’s lease at the city-owned industrial park. The company must vacate by the end of June, ending a seven-year tenancy.
The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation denied the claim, saying the decision was made in December 2025 — before Mamdani took office — and cited repeated compliance issues, including unauthorized drone flights and improper utility use.
Easy Aerial provides surveillance drones to the Israeli military but does most of its business with U.S. federal agencies, including the Air Force. The company has faced protests at the Navy Yard since the start of the Gaza war.
Abuhazira said the 100-employee company is considering legal action but hopes to remain in New York.

Besides,as the article mention, the decision was made before Mandani was elected. It have a feeling of biasis, to discredit the mayor and that is wrong and unethical.

Sounds like sour grapes. No one should be helping the Israeli government murder innocent men women and children and bystanders. Pro Palestinian doesn’t mean anti Semitic. It just means Palestinians have a right to live without being oppressed by the Israeli government.
I will preface my note with this. I am a proud Jewish American and huge supporter of the Jewish homeland. However, Bibi Netanyahu and his minority government is not Israel and Israel is not all Jews, just as Hamas is not the Palestinian people. The murder and kidnapping of hundreds of Israeli civilians is inexcusable and indefensible. But, it does not excuse thousands of massacred Palestinian civilians, (children included) millions displaced, thousands permanently disabled…an entire peoples in danger of starvation. Aside from the considerable moral issue, this does not serve Israel’s interest. They face no Palestinian military threat, so, as long as their aggression continues, Israel becomes more and more of a worldwide pariah. Feeding their military advantage only serves to increase the misconception of all Jews as bullies, armed to the teeth on the attack…attempting to drive the Palestinian people out of existence.
