BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A renovated townhouse in Brooklyn Heights has sold for $14.99 million, marking the borough’s highest residential sale so far this year.

The 25-foot-wide brick residence at 307 Hicks St., originally built around 1910, spans roughly 6,200 square feet and includes five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The property was converted from a four-family building into a single-family home and redesigned with modern interiors. The buyer is a Manhattan-based finance family.
The New York Post first reported the sale, noting it follows another major townhouse transaction in the neighborhood at 170 Clinton St., which sold for $14 million last month.
Both properties were developed by Brooklyn-based real estate studio Eckstrøm, founded by husband-and-wife team Carlos Saavedra and Nicole Eckstrøm. Drawing on more than two decades of experience across real estate, design, and the arts, the studio takes a deeply hands-on approach to every project—overseeing each residence from acquisition and construction through interior design, staging, and sales. The firm focuses on restoring and reimagining historic Brooklyn townhouses, blending preservation with modern luxury.
The Hicks Street home was redesigned in collaboration with FXCollaborative. Features include wide-plank ash wood floors imported from Denmark, new windows, a custom chef’s kitchen, minimalist interiors, and integrated storage throughout.
Eckstrøm purchased the property in 2024 for $5.1 million, when it was a four-story, four-unit building. After converting it to a single-family residence, the home was listed later that year, eventually closing just under $15 million.
Brooklyn Heights continues to attract buyers seeking quiet, family-oriented neighborhoods with strong schools and a mix of historic charm and modern upgrades.
