Magen David Adom said its teams responded to at least one impact site in the capital, where five casualties were initially reported. Spokesperson Zaki Heller said medical crews were treating the injured and searching additional locations in the Jerusalem area for possible further victims. The area was a main road adjacent to the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood.
The latest injuries came as Israeli defense officials continued investigating a failed interception in Beit Shemesh earlier in the day. That strike killed nine people when a ballistic missile made a direct hit on a reinforced shelter.
The military has said it will sustain operations targeting Iran’s missile infrastructure, as cross-border exchanges intensified.
Authorities urged residents to follow Home Front Command instructions and remain near protected spaces as sirens continued to sound in multiple areas.
