The strike, part of Iran’s retaliatory barrage following U.S.-Israeli operations against Iranian targets, caused widespread destruction in Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem. Israeli emergency services reported at least nine people killed and dozens injured in the incident, with some sources indicating up to 49 wounded overall from the missile barrage.

Revah was among those confirmed dead in the attack, which directly hit residential buildings, including areas near a synagogue and a public bomb shelter. Rescue workers described scenes of heavy structural damage, collapsed structures, smoke, and chaos as frightened residents emerged from affected buildings.

The Israel Defense Forces accused Iran of deliberately targeting civilian areas, with the Beit Shemesh strike marking one of the deadliest single incidents in Israel since the escalation began over the weekend. Israel’s air defenses intercepted many incoming projectiles, but several caused fatalities and significant property damage.
