Fine spoke while the House was considering a measure seeking to limit the war powers of Donald Trump related to potential military action involving Iran.
In his remarks, Fine said Carlson had made a series of statements targeting Jews and Jewish institutions. He pointed to claims Carlson allegedly made regarding Jewish identity and comments he said mischaracterized the work of Chabad-Lubavitch, the global Jewish outreach movement.
I agree with @realdonaldtrump — Tucker Carlson is not MAGA.
First, he demanded all Jews take a DNA test to prove they are Jewish.
Then he said Muslim terrorists should be able to rape and kill Americans if they’re under 18 years old.

Fine said Carlson had falsely suggested that Chabad seeks the destruction of Muslim holy sites, a claim the congressman said could place Jewish communities at risk.
“Chabad brings light to the world,” Fine said, describing the organization as widely respected in Jewish communities for its charitable work and outreach.
Fine also said Carlson’s rhetoric should be rejected by Republicans as well as Democrats, arguing that criticism of extremism must apply across the political spectrum.
“Tucker Carlson needs to be excommunicated from the Republican Party,” Fine said.
Carlson has not publicly responded to Fine’s remarks.
