The incidents targeted Shaarei Shomayim in North York and Beth Avraham Yosef of Toronto in Vaughan. Officers said multiple shots were fired at both buildings while people were inside. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and evidence to identify the suspects and said it is unclear if the attacks are connected.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford called the shootings “cowardly acts of hate” and said antisemitism has no place in the province. Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow described the attacks as “disgusting acts of antisemitism, hate and intimidation,” while Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca urged governments to take “concrete action” against such violence.

Sara Lefton of the United Jewish Appeal Federation of Greater Toronto said the shootings threaten all Canadians, not just the Jewish community. Israel’s ambassador to Canada, Iddo Moed, said the attacks follow a “troubling global pattern of antisemitic violence” that requires vigilance.

Police increased patrols near places of worship, schools, and community centers, and investigators are asking the public to provide any information that could help identify the suspects.

Canada went from the most Oheiv Yisrael Harper government to one of the most Sonei EY & Antisemitism-Indifferent Trudeau-Carney Government. You can clearly see things can turn in Galus K’heref ayin. IYH yeshuas Hashem just as fast.

I don’t want to get my brethren anxious, but, what exactly has to happen for Canadian Jews to come home?
Grandpa was pelted with rotten tomatoes for asking that question and the end of the story is known.
