Desecrating Shabbat, High Court Authorizes Large Anti-War Rally In TA, Defying Home Command Restrictions

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In an unusual move that provoked outrage throughout Israel, the justices of Israel’s Supreme Court convened today while publicly violating the sanctity of the Sabbath, and discussed permitting far-left protests amid the war with Iran and restrictions on gatherings. Besides violating the Sabbath themselves, the Court approved a gathering of up to 600 people at Habima Square, while the Western Wall remains closed for prayer.

The justices instructed the Home Front Command to formulate a plan that would allow a protest in Habima Square exceeding the 150-person limit previously submitted by the military in its response to the Court.

The Court sought to expand the number of participants during the height of the Shabbat, intervening in a professional-level decision. When it did not receive a response from the Home Front Command, the Court announced permission for gatherings of up to 600 people at Habima Square and up to 150 elsewhere in the country.

In addition to violating the Sabbath themselves, the justices also compelled the IDF to respond to the Court during the Sabbath. Ultimately, the Court approved a gathering of 600 people for a protest—while the Western Wall remained closed.

The Shas party stated:

“The trampling of the sanctity of the Sabbath and the Hours of Work and Rest Law in a Supreme Court decision issued during the holy Sabbath, which allowed the gathering of hundreds of anarchist protesters at Habima Square in contradiction to Home Front Command guidelines, while the Western Wall and holy sites are closed, reflects severe detachment, arrogance, and conceit of those sitting in their ivory tower. The Shas movement will act immediately after the holiday to file a complaint against the panel of judges who acted contrary to the law.”

The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, said:

“The Supreme Court’s decision issued on the Sabbath endangers protesters, police officers, and soldiers. Even at the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, and other holy places, the Home Front Command does not allow worshippers to arrive, but the Court, on the Sabbath, issues another decision that harms the safety of police and civilians.
Allow protesters to disregard the law just because they are protesting against the State of Israel? Issue a ruling that requires the Home Front Command and the police to respond within one hour on the Sabbath?? It’s time to ask: Supreme Court justices who make such decisions—are you of Israel?”

Israelis of all faiths & creeds know this war is existential.
This ruling was to open the hard left summer protest season for the elections later this year. The disaffected elites hope the attempted coup begun 2022 can continue.
Last night a handful of paid die-hards living in the vicinity turned up.

The issue here is not the fact that the chazer fressers of the court met on Shabbos which has no meaning for them in any event, it is that they moved against the Home Front Command. They are the professionals here. They set standards to protect not only the anarchists, who do not deserve protection, but the police and soldiers who will be needed to guard these hooligans.

They got Rachel Herman an attorney to launch a $30m lawsuit for defamation and slander because I wrote against Chabad, Rabbis Cunin and Manis Friedman and other gedolim. This BMG Guy psycho lunatic made my life miserable and got me banned from VIN when I was “The whole tooth”.

Any shomer Shabbos who is considering moving to Israel should understand that he can live amongst respectful goyim where there is a minority of antisemitic nobodies or in a so called Jewish country where the judges of the secular supreme court, the supposed highest level of society, are a bunch of anti semitic chazer fressers. Change your plans and stay where you are If this is the future anywhere is better than Israel.

“They violated Shabbat” is a weak argument. The prohibition is rabbinic and applies to routine cases, and it’s overridden by Pikuach Nefesh anyway when lives may be at stake.

So the issue isn’t the day, it’s whether the situation justified it.

And you can’t have it both ways: if this is a just war serious enough to dismiss those concerns, then there should be a call for everyone, including the religious sector, to fully participate. If not, then don’t selectively invoke the argument.
