Anas Muhammad Ibrahim Hamed was killed Monday in a precise aerial strike in the central Gaza Strip, according to the IDF. The strike came after the terrorist posed an imminent threat to IDF troops operating in the area.
Hamed infiltrated Israeli territory and the Nova festival site during the Hamas-led attack on Oct. 7, 2023, that killed approximately 1,200 people in southern Israel and led to the abduction of 251 hostages.
Prior to the strike, the IDF said it took multiple measures to reduce the risk of harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
IDF troops in the Southern Command remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue operations to neutralize immediate threats, the military said.
The Nukhba forces are Hamas’ elite commando unit, which spearheaded the Oct. 7th massacre.
