JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Jonathan Pollard, who previously served a 30-year prison sentence in the United States for spying for Israel, announced in an interview with Channel 13 News that he has decided to officially enter political life in Israel and run in the upcoming elections. Pollard said the decision came after a long period of deliberation, but the events of the October 7 attacks served as a turning point for him.

According to him, the terror attack and the national upheaval that followed made him realize he must take an active role in public affairs. Pollard also announced that he will run alongside Nissim Louk, the father of Shani Louk, a young woman who was murdered during the Nova massacre on October 7.

Pollard expressed strong views regarding the future of the Gaza Strip, stating that he supports a “full transfer” of the Gazan population. He argued that Israel is not winning the war and that new leadership is needed to implement a clearer and more decisive policy.

Regarding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Pollard said he would accept any democratic outcome, but emphasized the need to examine the leadership’s performance since October 7. He added that while he does not oppose working with some political leaders, he expressed strong reservations about Naftali Bennett.
Pollard claimed that Bennett is “right” in his criticism of Netanyahu, but said Bennett’s past role in security decisions prevents him from cooperating with him.

Meir Kahane ztz”l was wrong about 3 things: he had no effective strategy to deal with the Israeli judenrat elites who used fascist methods to shut Kahane down, he didn’t not create a viable political machine that can function without Kahane as a person, he did not pay enough attention to his own personal security. Obviously, the first item is the outside strategy, while the latter two are internal policy within the organization.
We need to learn and implement.
At this point in the game, the major outside strategic effort should be directed towards breaking the fascist dictatorship of the unelected supreme kangaroo court. Nothing else can succeed without the judicial reform. Once that’s taken care of, come numerous steps to take control of the security apparatus and bureaucracy by the democratically elected straight-thinking Jewish government. Only then, can such important issues as transfer can be addressed.

Pollard actually served 35 years, including the five years that he was under house arrest. His house arrest was very restrictive, as he could only travel to areas within a very small radius of his four story cramped walk up apartment, in Manhattan. He had to be inside by 7PM every night, thus negating his going to Shul in the evening, when davening took place at that time. The five year house arrest was very vindictive, as he had already served 30 years of harsh treatment. His sentence should have been commuted in 2017.

I’m happy he’s free and prayed for his freedom as he served his time and then some. While I truly believe he loves Israel, you have to love Hashem first and foremost. After all we make this affirmation 3x a day. That means not being responsible for one of the biggest Chillul Hashem ever committed.
THE reason Chillul Hashem is not forgiven on this earth is because we are first and foremost ambassadors to our creator to do be Makkadesh Sheim Shomayim.DOING THE EXACT OPPOSITE AMOUNTS TO TREASON similar to but even much worse that being hired by US Navy Intel and serving another country.
Having him represent Israel in any government capacity also sends the wrong message to a strongest ally, IMHO.
