JERUSALEM (VINnews) – The Israel Defense Forces, in coordination with the Home Front Command, announced Tuesday it is easing defensive restrictions across several areas in northern Israel for the coming days.

The updated guidelines take effect at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026, and remain in place until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2026.

The Confrontation Line area and the communities of Meron, Bar Yochai, Or HaGanuz, Safsufa, Yesud HaMa’ala, Kisra-Sumei, Beit Jann, and Sde Eliezer will move from a limited activity level to a partial activity level.
Under the new partial restrictions:
Educational activities may be held in structures or locations with access to a standard protected space within the required time.
Workplaces may operate in structures or locations with access to a standard protected space within the required time.
Gatherings and services are permitted for up to 100 people outdoors and up to 400 people indoors.
Beaches will remain open.
Meanwhile, the Upper Galilee and North Golan areas, along with the communities of Katzrin and Kidmat Zvi, will transition to a full activity level with no restrictions.
The Home Front Command said it continues to conduct ongoing situational assessments and will update the public on any changes through official channels.
The adjustments come amid continued security concerns in northern Israel.
