Israeli UN Ambassador Calls for Investigation Into Antisemitism, Anti-Israel Bias at United Nations

UNITED NATIONS (VINnews) – Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations on Wednesday publicly accused Vanessa Frazier, the UN special representative for children and armed conflict, of engaging with antisemitic social media accounts, amplifying unfounded accusations against Israel and demonstrating bias ahead of her latest report on children in armed conflict.

Danny Danon said the revelations expose a deeper systemic problem within parts of the UN.

“Today, I exposed the true face of Vanessa Frazier, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for ‘Children and Armed Conflict,’” Danon stated. “Before presenting yet another report against Israel, the facts came to light:

• She engaged with antisemitic social media accounts.

• She amplified defamatory accusations against Israel.

• She shared false allegations that proved to be unfounded.”

Danon added that Frazier “is not the exception” but reflects a broader issue. “She reflects a deeper problem within parts of the UN, where bias against Israel too often outweighs the commitment to truth and impartiality.”

The accusations follow a heated public exchange last week in which Danon clashed with Frazier during a UN meeting on conflict-related sexual violence. Frazier, who previously served as Malta’s ambassador to the UN, reportedly interrupted Danon and faced sharp rebukes as he criticized recent UN reports blacklisting Israel.

Frazier’s office has been involved in annual reports documenting grave violations against children in armed conflicts, with Israeli forces topping recent lists for verified incidents — figures Israel has strongly contested as biased and unverified.

Danon has repeatedly called for the UN to investigate and root out antisemitism and anti-Israel bias in its reports and among its officials, urging Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to act.
